Bio: Kent S. Greenawalt is CEO of Foot Levelers, Inc., a Roanoke-based company that designs and manufactures custom-made foot orthotics, products that have helped millions of patients overcome pain and improve their health. Now in business for over 70 years, Foot Levelers has operated in Roanoke since 1988. Kent is also the founder and Chairman of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a 501(c)3 non-profit that strives to promote the benefits of Chiropractic care to the public.
Kent has helped revolutionize the way healthcare providers treat patients by developing and patenting dozens of products in the United States and abroad. The orthotics designed by Foot Levelers—each pair custom-built based on a 3D mold or scan of a patient’s feet—are backed by more research than any other competing product with dozens of articles that speak to their efficacy in treating pain, improving athletic performance, and enhancing overall wellness.
As Chairman of Foot Levelers’ Educational Division, Kent leads the way in providing educational seminars for healthcare providers around the globe. Kent is an avid philanthropist, supporter of research and education, and recipient of dozens of awards. He has served on the United States Bone and Joint Decade (USBJD) Board as a member at large.

Building on her recent responsibilities as senior vice president of business development and decades of experience at Foot Levelers overseeing customer support, technology, marketing, sales and educational development, Jamie brings seasoned expertise with global business operations that will drive operational and financial performance excellence on a worldwide level.
The opportunity to lead Foot Levelers in sustainable growth for the years ahead aligns with her successful record in unifying diverse groups to achieve results on a global scale. This invaluable perspective applies to the multitude of activities that will advance the many segments of the healthcare community.
Over the years, Jamie has proven to be an innovative, knowledgeable and thoughtful executive leader, and has earned the respect and admiration of not only Foot Levelers employees, but also industry professionals who seek out her perspectives on the profession. The ongoing growth of Foot Levelers has been largely achieved through her dedication to expanded partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare organizations and healthcare providers. She is recognized as a consensus builder who understands the importance of meaningful business development and creating revenue based upon global needs.
Jamie is a third-generation member of a family business that has dedicated itself to advocating for healthcare providers and their treatments to help patients around the world. Her grandfather Dr. Monte H. Greenawalt founded Foot Levelers over 70 years ago and created an organization that has been in the forefront of a preventative course of treatment that aligns with the chiropractic profession’s emphasis on proactive and natural care.
Jamie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri. She earned an undergraduate degree in Global Studies and Environmental Science at the University of the South (Sewanee) and was named a Distinguished Young Alumni in 2017. She has served the World Bank in Washington D.C. in their agriculture, food and nutrition security programs, as well as the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) in Rome. She worked alongside governmental and private sector entities on implementing strategies to advance access to basic health care and sustainable nutritious food. Her duties also included empowering and educating female business owners on securing credit and financial stability.
She has been receiving weekly chiropractic care for nearly 40 years and firmly believes that these treatments, along with proper nutrition, contribute to her quality of life and continued health.
She is passionate about giving back to the community and has served on numerous boards, including Women LEAD, Give to the World and North Cross School alumni board.

Your Feet are Just as Unique as Your Fingerprints. That means your size 9 feet are not the same as your neighbor’s size 9 feet (in fact, if you’re like most people, there are even significant differences between your right foot and left!).
Mass-produced over-the-counter insoles can only address general conditions, for “general feet,” as if such a thing exists. Highlights
Deadly Tornado Relief: In 2021, in response to the catastrophic tornados that hit five southern and midwestern states that December, Foot Levelers matched all donations up to $250,000, with proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross.
9/11 Relief: Two of this country’s bleakest moments spurred our CEO to create a challenge among his Chiropractic network, pledging to match up $200,000 to aid 9/11 families and relief efforts. Not only was the gift matched; it topped out at $600,000.
Hurricane Katrina: Again in 2005, when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Kent put out the same challenge, again raising close to $600,000 toward relief efforts.
Ontario Wildfires and West Virginia Floods: In 2016, Foot Levelers donated over $75,000 worth of shoes to victims of the massive wildfires in Canada and to the flood victims of Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia: Kent recently challenged the community to raise money for Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia by offering to match up to $50,000 (if the challenge was completed within 5 days!). Over $55,000 was raised as a result, for $105,000+ total toward Junior Achievement’s youth programs.
Supporting the Chiropractic Profession: Over the years, Foot Levelers has opened a number of Chiropractic health centers and educational campus buildings, funded Chiropractic research studies, established college scholarships for aspiring DCs, and more. Foot Levelers also hosts dozens of educational seminars and free webinars each year, all aimed at helping the Chiropractic practitioner be the best DC they can be.
